The Wisconsin Sickness digital volumes (Volume One and Volume Two) have been collectively downloaded almost six hundred times so far, with 41 badass songs by 25 of Wisconsin’s sickest bands.
I’m looking for thirteen new bands for Volume Three to be released sometime around August.
Previously there have been some questions about the type of music I am accepting for the releases, as well as accusations of being biased or unfair. To be clear, Wisconsin Sickness just is not about your standard rap or dance music. It is also not about music that sounds too poppy or happy.
That is not being closed-minded. It is about keeping these compilations focused on what I intended them to be about.
If you have any questions about if your band fits the bill, take a listen to what is on the previous releases or just send an mp3 over. It’s cool hearing other Wisconsin artists, even if they don’t fit into the focus of Wisconsin Sickness.
If your band is interested, here is what you will need:
- One or two songs in mp3 format, minimum 128kbps
- Band bio, photo, and logo (layered PSD file or white logo on black background preferred)
- Links (facebook, myspace, youtube, official website, etc.)
Along with whatever other information you want to include.

Also, I am trying to make some changes to the site and bring it back to what I originally intended it to be. I am hoping to get ALL original WI bands featured here and included on the site permanently, hopefully with videos, mp3’s, etc.
This will be a slow process. If you would like your band included, please contact me with the same info as above. Otherwise I will be starting with the bands included on the Wisconsin Sickness comps and work down the line from there.
