In 2008 experimental West Bend masterminds Canyons Of Static recorded a Christmas EP live in their basement. It consists of five classic Christmas compositions featuring Canyons Of Static’s signature ambience, progression, and dripping reverb.
Not only is the overall sound and feel beautiful and ethereal like you would expect from Canyons Of Static, but it also makes these traditional Christmas songs strange and interesting again.
Here is the track List:
01. My Favorite Things
02. Silent Night
03. Do You Hear What I Hear
04. O Holy Night (featuring vocals by Steev Baker)
05. Ukrainian Bell Carol
Canyons Of Static have made this release available to download free until the end of year, and were gracious enough to offer it up here on Wisconsin Sickness as well.
